South Kitsap Business of the Year Award

Purpose: Designed to recognize local businesses’ dedication, innovation, entrepreneurial spirit, exceptional business achievement and outstanding commitment to our community.

Eligibility:

• Businesses employing 10 or more full-time employees.
• Any Business operating in the Port Orchard/South Kitsap community is eligible to win.
• Institutional facilities, non-profit organizations, regional offices, and franchisees ARE eligible.
• Must be a member in good standing with the South Kitsap Chamber of Commerce.  
• Business must be in operation for a minimum of three successive years. 
• The business must engage in business activity within the Port Orchard/South Kitsap community.

South Kitsap Non-Profit Service Award
Purpose: The South Kitsap Non-Profit Service award is intended to celebrate, reward, and encourage outstanding achievement in the charitable/non-profit sector.
Eligibility:

• Positively impact the community 
• Demonstrate exceptional achievements in building the community 
• Must be a member in good standing with the South Kitsap Chamber of Commerce.  
• Promote and enhance the quality of life in the South Kitsap Community

South Kitsap Small Business of the Year Award

Purpose: Designed to recognize local businesses’ dedication, innovation, entrepreneurial spirit, exceptional business achievement and outstanding commitment to our community.

Eligibility: 

• Businesses employing less than 10 fulltime employees.
• Must be locally owned and privately held (Institutional facilities, non-profit organizations, regional offices are not eligible.
• Individually owned/Single and locally operated franchisees are eligible. 
• Must be a member in good standing with the South Kitsap Chamber of Commerce.
• Business must be in operation for a minimum of two successive years. 
• The business must engage in business activity within the Port Orchard/South Kitsap community.

South Kitsap Rising Star Business of the Year Award

Purpose: Designed to recognize local businesses’ dedication, innovation, entrepreneurial spirit, exceptional business achievement and outstanding commitment to our community.

Eligibility: 

• Businesses employing less than 10 full-time employees. Waived for 2022
• Must be locally owned and privately held  
• Institutional facilities, non-profit organizations, regional offices of National Brands are NOT eligible.
• Individually owned and locally operated franchises ARE eligible.
• Must be a member in good standing with the South Kitsap Chamber of Commerce.  
• Business must be in operation for no more than three  five years. 
• The business must engage in business activity within the Port Orchard/South Kitsap community.
• Criteria has been updated to account for the “Covid Years”
